I saw this really cute light-signaling gun, U.S. Army, i think; actually
looked like a shortened rifle, when assembled. Came in a carry case
knocked-down. I don't remember the type number of this thing. Anyone
here recollect the identification of this set? What would one
be worth, do you think? I have been kind of intrigued since i saw it. Of
course, you couldn't today take it out at the park and use it without
probably attracting some unwelcome attention.
I have a couple other light signaling things - a Japanese WW2 thing with
its own handcrank generator; and an aircraft signaling pistol;
and maybe, if i haven't sold it, a thing that clamps onto your binocs
and sends telegraphy.
I was at the beach a couple days ago at twilight and noticed how bright
the cellphone screens were. Made me think 'someone' could come
up with an app that you could use to flash the screen and send Morse.
But unlike the popular cellphone 'flashlight app', this one wouldn't
snoop for your personal information to sell to other advertisers and
snoops and bad guys.
