[Milsurplus] Narrow AM mech filter ?

  Dennis - you understood the question exactly. I am not so concerned 
about good-sounding AM or listening to SWBC stations. There is only one 
filter in the
set. The shape factor -50 db : -6 db is 4:1 which doesn't seem that good 
to me. As Bob W9RAN messaged me, i could try out another Collins filter 
of the same
size, but tighter specs, as it's a pluck-out item. I do have a ham rig 
with such a filter, either 2.2 or 2.5 kHz, and this is a rig that no one 
would buy for anything
above the value of the filter.

one could have only have one filter for use on phone and CW what would 
be the narrowest BW one would choose.”  My immediate experience with the 
R-390A along with 60 years in the game suggested 2 kHz as I indicated.
