[Milsurplus] Narrow AM mech filter ?

Hi Dennis,

2 kc bandwidth is usually an "SSB" bandwidth but we can recover one
sideband of AM voice through one of those. Yes..it is getting "muffled"
a little but is usable. The receive VFO would be tuned so that it falls
just at the edge of the passband or..we can use "exhaulted carrier" by
using the SSB BFO to substitute or compliment a diminished carrier. If
there is adjacent channel interference on one sideband we can switch to
the other sideband to get rid of it - perhaps to find interference from
a different station <evil grin>. This approach is not good for listening
to hi-fi music. I abuse my "SSB" receivers this way sometimes.
