$5 for an old one sounds right, but for a new reproduction, I don't know. Unless they could make all the stuff inhouse, their price would reflect other peoples' profits on the tinsel wire, the cord weaving, etc. A dollarette these days dosn't seem to do what a real dollar used to do.
