What suggests the concern was enemy DF of LO radiation from a receiver circuit using an RF stage?

Was the concern possibly instead the “other reason”?

>My point was that NRL was evidently designing Navy receivers in the early/mid-1930s to minimize LO radiation. It wasn't wartime panic; to them it was a prudent concern for future DF capability.
