I believe I have the tech manual, will have to check to be sure.
Most seem to be have gone solid state but I think the spec is the same so http://www.andreasystems.com/specs/LS184A_Spec.pdfshould answer your questions. I have one of the LS-184's that have had the tube module replaced with a solid state amplifier.
The AIC-10 was designed by RCA post WW2 for the B-47, among other aircraft of that period, it was supposed to provide a more readable audio. Not sure when the LS-184 was added to the system since it would not be needed in the B-47, since it had a three man crew, but would find use in larger bombers and cargo aircraft.
The BC-348 should have enough audio power to drive a properly matched loudspeaker directly and not need an auxiliary amplifier. If you want to trade it for an LS-3. let me know.Jim

does anyone have a schematic for this? not sure if I want to supply the 170v for the pencil tube amp or just refeed it. there are 2 transformers in there . anyone know the impedance of them or the speaker? let me know thanks. I would like to use his for my bc348. Jeff KG2BZ
