I have not seen much in print about the WW2 'Blind Approach BeaconS' (
"BABS" ) which operated around 176 MHz.

What were the equipments used in the aircraft, and the 'Rebecca'
interrogator in the aircraft? I can't recall seeing

any manuals for this gear, either. I 'may' have passed up buying something
like this many years back - it was some

kind of portable airfield beacon of some sort, and as i recall, it had some
kind of metal pipe frame support deal that

positioned it a couple feet off the ground. I don't know if that was BABS
equipment or one of the other VHF beacons

or guides.

tnx
