Breck,

It looks like you /*might*/ have the choice of either a crystal 
controlled or tunable BFO.
See bottom-middle of the schematic here:

The damn thing read right to left, or maybe it's clockwise from the 
upper-right.

Perhaps the button turns them both on so you can zero beat the 
variable.  But, can't find it on the sch.

Alex, help with the other panel legends.  Especially the three-position 
switch below the button.  My Russian is extremely rusty.
