[Milsurplus] [Vintage-Military-RADAR] Re: puzzler - module with glass rod?

Looks like a barium titanate transducer glued to the end of a fused 
quartz rod, normally used in broadband delay lines with a transducer at 
each end.  Unterminated, it might be used as a delayed pulse generator 
of some sort, I suppose.  The center frequency can be quite high - see
