Another thing that does have some bearing on the Paraset for this group: the 
Paraset was a British-run operation.
The equipment there naturally has more appeal to European enthusiasts.
Maybe an analogy on our shores would be the "canteen radio" replicas built 
by some. Or even the foxhole radio.
Altho the latter was, in truth, built in tiny numbers contrary to the lore 
that grew around it.

Lee, if you're finding BC-348 prices too high, I think maybe you should shop 
the hamfests and ant ique radio swaps
more, and certainly not Epay or dealers of any kind.
I sold a BC-312 + one for parts, total $50, at last year's hamfest.
At that hamfest, my table partner had a BC-348 for $100 and another one, 
WITH DYNAMOTOR, for $125. NO takers!!!
Also RBC, $75, no takers!
Maybe there are fewer nowadays who recognize what these boxes are, or maybe 
can't lift them anymore!
( I knew I had recovered from my surgery when I passed the test of lifting 
can carrying a PE-237 to my car! )
