Well, you ain't alone, Ray, believe me.

Like the complete jerk we all (may) remember who had some ancient Navy 
transmitters, NIB, who was "offering" them on eBay for something like $10K, 
when they MIGHT have been worth $500. 

Someone I (we?) know actually went to him and offered to buy them for a 
reasonable price, and he told him that he would rather destroy them.

What a complete idiot.
