I picked up a rather nice TBW-4 yesterday. No documentation came with
it. Apparently the previous owner had a power supply of some sort for
it because of the cable that is coming out of it. The covers are in
place. I haven't even taken it off the pickup truck yet so i know
nothing else about it. Having known the previous owner and his
technical capabilities, i wouldn't think that he butchered it up. I'm
going back to his place this morning and will look for some literature
and possibly the power supply amongst the thousands of pounds of parts
which include plate transformers (some heavy like new units),
capacitors, chokes, misc radio and electronic stuff. Those of you who
know about Columbia Electronics in the LA area, well his collection
would give them a run for their money. Even had a CONEX unit stuffed
with stuff.
Couple of T-358 units for $500 each in operating condition. A nice
BC-610I with coils and TU's for $500. There is a PE-98 setting on a
bench, looks nice but i don't know what it was for. Also a real nice
BC-221-AF, an LM meter with hb power supply and a very nice clean
ART-13. Also a couple of slightly dirty ARN-14C with dynamotors.
If anyone is interested in any of this stuff, let me know Asap as the
sale ends at noon today. Afterwards whats left will be headed to the
scrap dealer.
