I was a little surprised that I ended up being the only bidder.  It 
needs a *lot* of cosmetic work - the original black wrinkle was brush 
painted with a thick coat of no doubt "approved Navy gray", and the 
power connector and antenna connection to the receiver need to be 
changed back to original.  The only missing piece seems to be the tube 
retention device that clips into the two "fuse clips" on each side of 
the tube.  If anyone has ever seen such an approach for retaining the 
vacuum tube, I would appreciate a shout.  The seller was kind enough to 
send a couple of NOS 38233 tubes for it.  A standard DU-* mounting plate 
fits the bottom, at least.  Quite a piece of technology for 1935.  I'll 
make a web page for its restoration sometime in the future - I think I 
can count on everyone to *not* hold your breath in the meantime... :-)
