Salmon, Idaho is in a rather "odd" place: there is a huge "wilderness area"
between Salmon, and practically every other city in Idaho, and there are no
direct routes across that between us.
>From here, Moscow, ID, one must drive north, first to Coeur d'Alene, Idaho
via Idaho 95, then east via interstate 90, to Missoula, Montana, then take
Hiway 93 south to Salmon. It is 387 miles from here, and due to the roads, it
would take, on average, at least 6 1/2 hours to get there from here. That is
not "do-able" for me at this point.
There is another route through Lewiston, Idaho, but that is evern slower, and
the distance is almost identical.
George and I have been in irregular contact for a number of years, and he is
a good fellow.
I was not aware that George had so much "stuff". Although I am also trying
to downsize now, even so, there are a couple of items he has that, all else
being equal, I wouldn't mind having. One of his GF and RU set ups for one.
But, no, not now.
He also has several RAKs and at least one RAL.
