I do not see how there would be any "suck out" as the receiver and
transmitter output stages are never connected together. There is a T/R
relay. Also, you should read the post answers in order as I responded with
the proper answer way before Robert, although I did not refer to the manual.
Regardless, people feel obligated to re-iterate the same thing over and over
just to maintain their resident expert status (at least in their minds). 73

As Robert pointed out that is one of the main components for the
RS-6/AN/GRC109's full QSK system.

However, if/when the transmitter and receiver are operating on the same
frequency, there is up to 30 dB of "suck-out" from the transmitter's output
tuned circuits.

This is why the manual states that if the receiver and transmitter are on
the same frequency, the best solution is to use two separate antennas, one
for the transmitter and one for the receiver.

I experienced this with my own AN/GRC-109.
