There are a lot of good on-line sources for caps and resistors.
Mouser is excellent. They have an impressive inventory and their shipping and customer service are first rate. Recently, however, the prices of their axial caps seem to have gone up considerably.
Another source for caps is Sal Brisandi. http://www.tuberadios.com/capacitors/His prices are good, and so is his customer service.
Other good sources are Radio Daze --  Radio Daze LLC -- and Antique Electric Supply -- https://www.tubesandmore.com/
I haven't used the supplier that Al Klase mentioned but Al knows his stuff so if he recommends them, they must be good.
You really can't go wrong with any of these suppliers.

I do a lot of antique restoration.

The yellow axial-lead caps out of China are quite good. The problem with
all this stuff is shipping cost.
I'd start out by buying the $20-couple dollar assortment (60 pieces)
from http://www.radioantiques.com/supplies.html,

You can buy an assortment of 2-watt metal film resistors on Ebay,
directly out of China for almost no money. They are physically about the
same size as 1/2-watt carbon units. 500 pieces for $28.50 shipped. Yeah,
it's a permanent fix for a temporary problem. Main drawback is a 4-band
rather than 3-band color code.
