Not knowing the entire details of the application, consider "XLPE" wire.  It 
is cross-linked polyethylene.  Unbelievably rugged, originally developed for 
high voltage, high power, high altitude RADAR work.  It makes Teflon look 
like play-doh by comparison.

There are a few sources on ebay.  Seems to be used quite a bit in solar 
panel installations too, so try suppliers for that.  Quite common in 
microwave ovens, I've collected a bit over the years but the pieces are very 
short.
