Most oils do.  But when *lightly* applied to a surface, Break Free-CLP dries to an invisble dry coat.  That's what makes it excellent for restoring paint finish.

(Reports from Iraq of military CLP use on weapons indicated that it was one of the best small arms lubricant due to it NOT causing micro-sand particles to adhere to weapon internals.)

There should then be no problems with touch-up, and certainly none with future cleaning save for possible need for CLP re-application.
