Forgot to take my note pad with me today so a little short on hard data but today in Dayton was another great day for military surplus, first thing is that there were noticeably less R-390 receivers then in past years and did not see one R-388 although there were a couple 51J series receivers. The R-390 receiver were all sold and going out the door by the time I saw them. Several SP-600 receivers were here from very clean and complete to just plain ugly all starting at around $500 each. Lots of green PRC-10/RT-68 family of stuff although no RT-70 were seen and also saw a nice Russian RPS series receiver that was clean with the mating connector for $450. Only saw one ARC-5 receiver that was painted blue and they wanted $50 for it, looks like a lot of the WW2 stuff is starting to dry up although did see a RBB/RBC set up along with a couple of the Hall crafters EW receivers. Lots of test equipment with HP-608 going for $100 with cart but no takers along with tons of newer test sets, scopes and meters. Also saw a TRC-77 with the original batter case, a flock of ARC-38 sets and a BC-375 along with maybe two ART-13 and three BC-348 receivers in various conditions. Looks like a lot of stuff is being brought to Dayton and going all by pre arraigned deals. It did rain around two today for about twenty minutes but other than that everything was good. Was up picking up a computer yesterday so did not do the usual Fair Radio of Midwest.
