[Milsurplus] Identify this aircraft freq meter?

"Crude" oh my foot.  If Mike Hanz makes it, the only thing
"crude" are the shavings going into the dust bin.
The shock mount is beautiful and fits prefectly.

The BC-RC-183 is really not a "freq meter" per se.
It is what amounts to an external BFO for the BC-229
so that receiver could be used in a Liaison role.
The receive antenna is connected to the "INPUT" jack
and the receiver's "ANT" jack to "OUTPUT."
There's a photo of the lash-up in a pre-war bomber
somewhere online.  Will see if I can find it.
