Just judging by the amount of rust visible, it’s going to take more than a
little work to get them back up and running. There are a lot of unusual /
hard to replace bits and pieces in those racks.
I’ve always been a bit out of touch on *rare* item prices. Despite that, the
guy seems to want a lot of money for some poorly cared for gear ….
That’s not to say it’s a lost cause. Far from it. You won’t find many of those
popping up regularly on the market. It’s just a “think before you buy” kind of
thing. Having them sit (in my garage instead of his)in the rain for another 20 or 30 years
is not the same as diving in and restoring them.
