[Milsurplus] Old Signal Corps radio BC-187-A#3

The SCR-179 (not SCR-178) was the mule (not horse) pack version.
The SCR-178 is not very rare as a complete chest. I found one 28 years ago at a small Tennessee hamfest for $50. The second chest with accessories is less common. Even the distinctive J-44 key is common.
One can find in the literature at least one example of its use in an aircraft for experimental use.
Few if any of these worthless (in WWII) sets got MFP treatment. Fungus-covered cloth/rubber wiring insulation is a real possibility.
