I was rummaging through my crystals, trying to find some
useful frequencies for a project, and discovered I have
a number of transmit and receive crystals for some form
of marine radio, on 3277kc. The receive crystal is 455kc
higher, or 3732kc.
I ran the crystals through a test oscillator
of mine, and they do oscillate, and are all within 300 cycles.
I haven't tested it, but they may work to put a BC-611 or MAB
on 3732 kc. Not exactly a normal AM frequency, but its
in the band.
These are HC-6/U style, so you'll have to fatten up the
pins to fit an FT-243 socket.
I only have 11 sets, so depending on response, I'll reserve
the right to limit how many pairs go to an individual.
Anyone want any? Free, I'll even pick up postage in a padded
envelope. (You want Priority, that'll cost ya).
