Interesting photos, Nick.

The CVS-10 was decommissioned in 1970, so the AN/URC-32 sets are no surprise. But the two RBC and RBA receivers are. I was stationed on the CVS-11, USS Intrepid, in 1971. I don't recall seeing anything that old. I remember R-390*/URR receivers and some AN/WRR-3* VLF/LF/MF receivers, one of which was kept on 500 kHz watch. I recall no R-1051*/URR receivers, but I've got to believe there must have been some of those Bendix radio sets there in 1971. The CVS-11 was decommissioned in 1973.

Although I was stationed at Charleston navy base for a couple of years in the late 1970s, I never made a visit to CVS-10 at Patriots' Point. The famous DD-724, USS Laffey, was tied up at the navy base piers. It had been pulled out of inactive ship storage and was awaiting transfer to Patriots' Point. I was amazed at how complete it appeared...almost like it was ready to go to sea again. It would be interesting to see its radio spaces. I wonder where Laffey tours let visitors go.
