[Milsurplus] [ARC5] ARR-15 Receivers

If memory serves me, I got my better one for $60 less dynamotor and X bracket but otherwise unmodified and in good cosmetic shape. It fired right up from an auxiliary power supply. I have that in storage waiting for a dynamotor to show up at a 'fest for not too much money. That said, I would think that ARR-15's in as good a shape are well above what we payed for them 10 or so years ago. But one never knows what will turn up.
Another one I traded for with Robert Downs for an equal weight of dynamotors! Someone started to rewire the filaments for 12.6 volts but never got too far. It too worked right away once the mods were wired out. The receivers that show up for next to nothing are, for the most part, in sad shape. The last one I have I am still working on. It is missing the front panel and was so hacked up I removed the wiring harness from an organ donor and installed it in this one. The organ donor was corroded beyond help so I scraped it out. If anyone needs some small parts, let me know. If anyone has a front panel, let me know.

I have a completely stock, unmodified ARR-15 receiver with the dynamotor. It is paired with my USN labeled ART-13, the whole setup runs on 28VDC. On CW I use an external active dual audio filter with it that has notch and peak functions, which make the receiver very usable even on a crowded band.
I bought mine at Dayton about 9 years ago for $75.
