This is a 1kw HF synthesized autotune 1500 lb 2-rack Navy transmitter
Not a plate modulated rig like the FRT-24, but ISB with compatible AM (400w
carrier + USB)
Photo of one at http://www.navy-radio.com/xmtrs/frt24/frt24a-1209-01.jpg
A couple of pieces of this transmitter are on eBay - I don't know for sure
how much is actually available - if all the pieces it really deserves to be
saved.
I have only had a little contact with the seller who replied
"I have parts for it. Almost the whole thing i believe."
but it is clear from the descriptions that she doesn't really know much
about it.
I have the FRT-24A manual and can make a copy if someone tackles this. I
also just bought a control panel that was ending soon, just to save it - or
have as a souvenir of the Big One That Got Away. If someone saves the rest,
I'll be glad to send them the panel I got.
Currently on eBay is the p/s for the freq synthesizer

If there is someone in the area who could at least take a look and photos,
that would be great - I'm in NC and there is no way I'm gonna be able to
haul this one home.
Cheers,
