The 6BW6 (with 9 pins) seems like a very good candidate too,
and is often seen here in NZ and I think in Aus, perhaps due
to being used in Australian, NZ and perhaps British TV sets.
It either was never used to the same extent in the US or didn't
garner popularity in US ham literature.
