That's definitely the Golden Screwdriver. Look for stuff that's not
original and it should be easy. I've been there before: I bought a
Ten-Tec transceiver not working and found the power supply had been
"redesigned." The pass transistor had been replaced with a 2N3055 which
is good for maybe 5 Amps, which failed, then he replaced the regulating
transistors with PNP (not good) and pulled the SCR, which at least was
not destructive. Then he converted it to a non-regulated supply and
brought power out to new studs on the front panel. I fixed it and it's
working fine. He also replaced the LED's with inappropriate floor
sweepings that didn't work right either.
