I think the key hurdle is to get the gate to switch ON/OFF fast enough that
there is minimal operation in linear region.  This is a basic resonant mode
switching power converter.  We designed lots of similar types for space - f
was usually limited to ~ 2 MHz to keep efficiency high and problems low.
But, I'm certain can work on 40M with right FET and driver.

Hello Smarter-Than-Me-People:

If I scale all the parts at RF in the Drain circuit by matching reactances
(assuming IR factors are not material), can I make this transmitter work on
40 Meters?
