[Milsurplus] What AM Transmitter did the Army use to teach with?

Like I said - and this will be it from me on the subject, the two
transmitters are totally different. What is the relevance of the SC buying
TR-75s to the original question? Eugene Rippen's book says 1949. 73 - Mike

The Eldico TR-75 uses a 6AG7 oscillator and a807 PA and sometimes a 1646 PA.
The transmitter was all on one chassis. Eldico then sold a plate modulator
for it which was connected to a rear terminal strip. It had a government
nomenclature painted in Army Drab. In reality the RF portion was a TR-75.

That may well be, however the schematic shown was far from an Eldico which
used larger high power tubes and was on a big heavy chassis. It was also
1949 vintage, so, hard to believe they would be using such in 1974. 73 -
