Vietnam magazine, Feb. 2016, p 52-57:  "Soundtrack of Our War. The 
channels that brought music to the troops: live musicians, tape decks 
and
radio stations, official and underground."

I found this an interesting account of the music popular with the troops 
and the ways it reached them. "Radio First Termer" managed to intercept
a feed line to the AFRTS transmitter at Phan Rang and for 3 hours each 
evening, for over two months, broadcast their own counter-mainstream
