I've had a few projects recently that could have really used a "hot box".  I 
used to work in a lab where we had a fancy huge oven that was controlled in 
0.1º increments.

I can't build anything that fancy, but I've been looking at various cabinets 
with the thought of insulating them and putting the elements from an 
electric heater in the bottom, a fan to circulate air and a way to control 
the bi-metallic strip from the outside.  Temp control would be coarse, so 
maybe a gear reduction drive.

For other projects I need an actual oven and have my eyes out for an old one 
on the street.  In the past I've used a BBQ for the higher temp projects.
