[Milsurplus] Mystery subminiature tube modules

I have no idea what the modules are from, but I once had a large number
of them. That was nearly fifty years ago in Kingsport, Tennessee. There
was a local scrapyard that was a nerd's paradise, it received all the
scrap from the Magnavox plant in nearby Greeneville and also a Sperry
Rand plant. Modules like you describe showed up from time to time, and I
bought all I could afford. They were supposedly from missels or
aircraft, the heavy aluminum cases made them more expensive than the
bare circuit boards. Fortunately, the scrapyard would allow us to bring
small tools and remove the boards, to purchase at a far lower price
while leaving the expensive aluminum behind. I would remove most of the
components but leave the tubes and power supply wiring intact, then wire
up whatever I wanted to. The tubes would work very well with 24 volts on
the plates and screens. Lots of great memories! Bruce Gentry, KA2IVY

About 6 1/4 inch wide and should fit within a 8 or so inch diameter. I suppose we are talking somewhere in the decade of the 1950's, just before solid state took over.
