When I made those measurements I did not have calipers ...so Dave's measurements are probably closer and should be used.

One of our good members asked me about the original base for the BC-474 key.  Copied here for general interest.
One can find the key but the base is often missing.   
Back in 2000, Paul Thekan, N6FEG kindly made measurements of the base and sent me a diagram.
I later found an original key in Ebay. 
Mike Hanz blessed  me with a cool caliper and I made some measurements of my own.
When mine conflict with Paul's, believe Paul.
