I hope this is not too far off topic, many people here like both
vehicles and radios, so I hope the moderators won't get upset. A GREAT
summer radio and vehicle project! Come and get them ALL in Syracuse,
New York. Very easy access to Rt.81 and the New York State Thruway. If
you don't want them all, share them with a friend.

I began a project almost twenty years ago of building two rolling
radio stations, but have lost interest in completing it. At the time, I
was working at a job that required extensive road travel, and didn't
realize how much I hated to drive. A few years ago, it dawned on me that
building and driving vehicles was not something I wanted to do for fun.
Therefore, I want to sell/swap off the radios and vehicles I gathered. I
want to see it all go in one shipment all at once, but can accommodate.
Here is what I have to part with:

2 GRC-106 setups- receiver/exciter, mount, side brackets, power
cable, antenna cable, loudspeaker. One worked so-so, the other I never
tested. Also, an original shelf/bracket
mounted in the M-1009 vehicle behind the driver's seat that
the rig is mounted on.

2 T-195 transmitters, no meters, otherwise look complete. These
have the solid state power supplies and are untested.

2 R-392 receivers, also no meters, appear complete, untested.

1 Mount for T-195/R-392. It has been cut in to two, the
transmitter portion is mounted in the M-1009 vehicle behind the rear
seat. The R-392 portion is not mounted at this
time.I believe I have power cables for the T-195s, and
connectors to make the interconnect cables between the transmitters and
receiver.

2 RT-524 transceivers, have all modules but are untested and need
some small coax cables between the modules.

1 RT-246 transceiver and remote control channel selector box.

2 R-442 receivers, untested but with all internal modules. May
need coax cables between modules.

2 mounts for R-442s, two mounts for RT-246/524. Power cables for
all the R-442s and RT-246/524s. Loudspeakers for R-442s and GRC-206.

         Shelf/bracket for RT-246/524 and two R-442s mounted in M1009
vehicle behind the passenger's seat.

1 VRC-24 transceiver with mount and remote control box. I might
have connectors for the control box, will include if I do. The mount is
on a homebrew bracket in the M1009
         vehicle, behind the rear seat.

1 1.5 KW. 24 volt DC generator, complete, has compression, but I
never started it. Sits in back of M1009 vehicle.

1 1.5 KW. 24 volt DC generator. Engine, generator, control box
only. Appears complete to run, no fuel tank or frame. I Intended to
mount it on back of the M-151 jeep.

         The vehicles:

1 1972 M-151A2 jeep. Was cut in two with a SAW to comply, but
this allowed it to be welded back together very neatly. About 6500
miles. Haven't started it for a few years, the
gas is stale, but will clean out and refill when I can do
it. Runs well, I test drove it when I bought it in 1995 and it was
unstoppable. Have used it a
few times in my back yard to move things, it digs in and
goes. The floor is rotten under the battery box, and a few rust holes
under the passenger's feet. The previous owner
took it out in the woods, and the bottom rim of the body has
dents and crinkles that can be repaired with tools and patience. I
never had it on the
road, and never used it in snow. It was registered
elsewhere, and I have papers. There are a new top, door skins, top bows,
side irons, and side curtains, restorable door
frames. It has an original heater that works, the windshield
is not cracked, the wipers work. Also have an extra windshield and frame
from the older 151 or 151A model with the
two vacuum wiper motors. Have the side mirrors, I think the
windshield washer is there but I never tried it. Have also safety nets
for the sides, either new or like new. Front seat
cushions are good, new cushions for rear seat. Has ROPS roll
bar. There are extra signal lighting fixtures, and an electric fuel
pump I was going to adapt so it can be started
easily after sitting all winter, exhaust parts to stop a leak
and noise, a 100 amp alternator that must be repaired, a new 2 pin
"slave" power connector for the front cowl, cover for
the battery box, all seat frames. All the tires are rotten,
but hold air. All extra parts I can't remember right now are included.

1 M1009 Chevy diesel blazer, 1985. Has about 65,000 miles on
it, I have New York title, had it on the road for a few years buy never
drove it in the snow. The hood is dented a
rippled, I have a replacement that I never put on. All
windows good, seats don't have any serious tears, no floor mats. The
dashboard and cushion was awful when I got it,
replaced it with one from a Chevy pickup truck. I also added
an AM/FM/cassette radio, 12v voltmeter, and clock from the truck I got
the cushion from. Runs great, has 3
speed automatic transmission. Both batteries are in good
shape, it starts and runs. I made brackets and mounted a 200 amp 24 volt
alternator in place of the "top" original 12
volt one, with intentions of having three batteries and a
truly separate 12 and 24 volt system. You can either finish the project
or re-install the original alternator which is
included. It ran fine at 65 MPH highway speed without the
engine screaming. The tires were bought new in 1999, but only have about
1500 miles on them. They are in excellent
condition, but their age should be considered before driving
at highway speeds. I added a license tag holder and light on the
tailgate to comply, the blackout lights are there
but I never tried to clean the paint off them. The brush
guard is there and in good shape, so is the original military trailer
hitch and both bumpers. There is a new style
"NATO" power connector on the front.
There is no engine block heater. One muffler has a hole in
it, not annoying but will fail inspection. Two lug studs were broken off
the right front wheel, I will replace them if time
            allows.

Both of these vehicles have been stored in a garage since 2001,
the Chevy was last registered in 2004. Both have been occasionally
started and driven around the back yard.

I have some manuals for the vehicles, as well as some spare
parts I may not recall right now, whatever I have will go with them.

I want $9000.00 for everything. I have spent far more than that,
and want to find a good home for it all. Also, will swap for a nice and
complete GRC-206, the model that allows
you to enter 6 meter frequencies from the remote control box
rather than selecting a preset channel. Also interested in an RF
communications "Falcon" setup, complete with the
mobile and "portable" amplifiers and antenna tuning units. Other
newer exotic radios also considered.

The weather here was nice a few days ago, and might be once again
soon, so I can and will get lots of pictures ready to send on request.
