[Milsurplus] Hammarlund rx

Years ago i picked up a Hammarlund receiver that i thought was a regular 
Hammarlund SP-2XX version.  It had an unusual power supply and mil type 
connectors on both the supply and the back of the radio.  The Radio rear 
lip had the standard screw terminal type connection as well.  Well i 
sold it at a swapmeet the other day and today i got an email from the 
buyer who wanted to know if i had any info on a Hammarlund type MRM-5 
which he thinks this actually is. It was painted all black and not it 
appears from the usual spray can.  Front panle and all including the 
power supply.  Looks like the IF cans and covers along with power supply 
components were painted black before being mounted on their respective 
chassis.

So the question is, who know what about the MRM-5?
