Sure. I provided a set of manuals for it to John Forster and Robert/WA5CAB
a few years ago.
However, I never saw one when I was in the service. I saw an R-65/APN-9
in use on the Royal Netherlands Navy destroyer Hr.Ms. Amsterdam (D819) on
which I was stationed in 1973, and I believe they were on the SH-3D Sea King
helicopters on board USS Intrepid (CVS-11) when I was stationed there in 1971.
The LORAN A set that replaced the AN/APN-9 in USAF service was the AN/APN-70.
It served along with the UASF's AN/ARC-21 HF receiver-transmitter and AN/ARR-36
HF auxiliary receiver.
I don't think many AN/APN-9A units were produced before the AN/APN-70 took over.
