This is an all Navy unit running off an internal LESU.  It came with 100 wpmgearing & a frozen LMU.  I replaced the gears with a 60 wpm set and changedout the LMU with a synchronous ASR LMU that now runs cool.  The typing unitwas lightly lubricated.  The cabinet was emory'd & steel wooled down to baremetal and one coat of a combination primer/paint was done.  The glass  wasreplaced.  The lower storage door was repaired & then refinished.  Missinghold down hardware were replaced as was the power cord.  The power comesin through a noise filter under the typing unit (there are two there; only theincoming mains filter is connected).  As set up, it is looking for a standard loopto plug into.  There are many roads to Rome and if using an LESU is uncomfortable,you can patch out the four communications wires ( + & - loop, signal, ground) toeither a HAL unit or split into pairs for signal & loop.  The unit needs additionalcleaning & lubrication and the pinion gear could use refreshing.  Paul Cemburastill has these I believe.
