     My Knight Kit R-55A receiver had a dial-string tuning indicator on it.  It was a simple job of threading the dial string around all the pulleys and a couple of times around the tuning shaft, then onto a tensioning spring  to close the loop.  I had to clip the indicator marker onto the string once the string was in place.  You can Google R-55A Knight and final a few sources for manuals if you really need one.  Good luck.
