REMARKS FOR THIS TABULATION
Revision date is 2014-11-30.
This work does not describe the RU-series of receivers used in liaison service,
usually with GO-series or GP-series aircraft transmitters. Liaison-service
RU-series systems (after RU-3) have small design differences compared to
command-service RU-series receivers. Most of these result from the later
RU-series liaison receiver systems being designed to support either one or
two receivers per system. That required changing the location of the AGC
bias resistors from the dynamotor unit to the individual receiver.
This work does not describe the use of the five receivers from in the
SCR-A*-183/-283 series that were also used for:
- Observation-service (SCR-A*-185)
- Compass-service (SCR-A*-186)
- Liaison-service (SCR-A*-187)
- General-purpose (SCR-AA-192).
Only receivers and associated components for command set service are
addressed. The expanded set of coils that was issued for use in other
service is not listed or described.
Instruction books for 28 of the 35 listed systems are the source for most of
the information provided here.
The instruction books for 7 of the 35 listed systems were not available when
this tabulation was compiled:
