How I "Restuff" an "ARC-5" Receiver Bathtub Cap.

"A picture's worth a thousand words," they say.
Way back in the 1990s, Mike Hanz ( I think) gave me the idea
of using a plumber's tubing cutter to open the cans.
It's work very well for me:

I clean out the innards with a heat gun, then open the
grounding hole in the bottom of the tub and the
cap connections with a dental pick.
Run a bead of solder around the cut edges
and solder-in .047 250 VDC caps (I have left these caps
at 300 V for a week without failures).

Carefully align the pieces in a bench vise, solder them
back together and pop it back in the set:

The electrolytics can't be restuffed in this way.
I've tried some solutions but none was satisfactory.
For now, I just clip the lead and solder a modern
replacement in the set.
