I'm very much opposed to over regulation, but think of the possible danger to little kids who might play with an old mil radio and ingest some radium. It's at least worth warning potential buyers about the risks. To say nothing is not the right thing to do.
When I was in nursery school in the 50s we got a bunch of mil radios to play with. Some had markings that glowed in the dark seemingly forever. We took things apart including meters and touched everything even scraping off meter face glow paint. Not sure if it was radium or just a phosphor but we almost certainly ended up ingesting some.
I don't like bans but I think warnings are a good idea especially when kids might be at risk.
