In "World at War" magazine, Feb.-Mar. 2014, in article "Patton's Folly?
The Landing at Brolo", page 61 has a photo captioned, "Lt. Col. Bernard
at his impromptu battalion command post atop Mount Cipolla",
coordinating the defense of the amphibious landing at Brolo, Sicily,
August 1943. Next to the Col., its mast stuck into the dirt, is a
SCR-511 radio, the chest set-mic hanging from it.
