That's very good news.  I too had thought the FCC had given up on "harmful interference complaints".  Back in the 60s and 70s, I got excellent cooperation from the FCC in tracking down a faulty neon store sign, an aquarium heater, and on several occasions, failed sodium vapor street lights (20KV spark transmitters). However in the 80s and beyond the FCC basically told me to pound sand. "It's between you and the offender, solve it yourselves".

  Before reading this, I never believed that the FCC would intervene on behalf of AM broadcast
  listeners or ham radio fans. I thought “deregulation” ended all that. This is hopeful evidence
  to the opposite.
