Living in the remote hills of NW Arkansas, I am far removed from "big city" amenities. We do have one of the original remaining Carnegie Libraries here in town.  But, just 45 miles to the west is U of A, Fayetteville. Being a state resident, I can register with the University and have access to anything they have or 
can get.  If you are interested in archaic information, Forgotten books is a good resource also.

related trivia: Loy Barton set forth the idea of class B modulation while re-building the U of A campus radio station in the  1920's. He later patented it while in the employ of RCA.
