[Milsurplus] "The Mighty Eighth"

Past Spielberg & Hanks productions score fairly high in terms of production quality, think of things like Pvt. Ryan and Apollo thirteen but on the other side there is a lot of crap out there especially in the TV world with that junk being produced by the History channel, HBO and AMC. The new "Halt and Catch Fire" thing on AMC has the vintage computer community all up in arms about the inaccurate things said that are part of the show. But it's like anything else; remember that big Pearl Harbor dog that was released back in 2001? Jerry Bruckheimer said "We tried to be accurate, but it's certainly not meant to be a history lesson" and that movie was ranked the sixth highest-earning picture of 2001 and is also the third highest-grossing romantic drama film of all time. Think that Titanic film back in 97 was or still may be the highest grossing film of all.
Comes down to it everyone is going to concentrate on the actors, story, set and drama. Who wants to waste time and money on technical details while producing a drama? Historical facts are the stuff of documentaries unless it's something produced for the History channel.

Evidently this one is a teaser for a movie that has not gone into production yet.
There is also an upcoming HBO miniseries (Steven Spielberg & Tom Hanks) on The Mighty Eighth - no connection to this teaser.
