[Milsurplus] Pile o' Military Gear in Biloxi MS

Did a TBW a while back, have a video of it up on YouTube at:

And have done a couple different TCS sets but always found the TCS to be way under powered for AM phone. Have thought if I can find a gutted TBW or GO series transmitter can build up what would appear to be a late thirties rack mounted high level plate modulated Ham style transmitter with the 803 final. The advantage of the TBW/GO series transmitters is they have removable plates that identify function and a fairly modular approach to begin with but not seeing many gutted 803 type rigs around and would not want to cut up something that can be restored. Do like the 803 as an output tube being the one in the TBW appeared to be almost indestructible. In the tune mode they take the plate voltage away and still keep the screen applied and it don't bother the tube at all, try that with a modern power tube.
Think the problem is that with large transmitters or any full size rack mounted systems is that not many people have the space to accommodate or the capabilities to transport such items. Over the years I have removed several broadcast transmitters at different radio stations I do work for and always there are Hams who tell me they want old broadcast transmitters but when it comes down to it once they see the size, weight and problems involved they tend to back away. Another YouTube Video of what was involved in picking up my RCA BTA-1MX in Lancaster:

And if you're interested the transmitter in operation:

Big transmitters require big resources, maybe big egos too, but are certain that I can go for a TCM or TDE. Maybe a thousand miles is not that far.

Yes, and I am looking for an SRT-14 if anyone knows of one in the Mid-Atlantic States area.
