Well, I currently own a '61 MGA, '67 land rover 109, and a '72 land rover air portable.  I can confirm the truth in old saying about why the British didn't invent the computer, "because they couldn't figure out how to make it leak oil."  No offense meant to our British friends. Just a little good fun :)

I've owned at least one Land Rover every year since 1969.  The worst quality problems Land Rover had over that period were during the years that they were owned by BMW, aggravated by BMW refusing to pay LR/RR/Jag suppliers.
