[Milsurplus] [ARC5] British Radios Quote

Well, all 3 of my MGs were a piece of shit. I bought a brand new one (MGB)
in 1977 an it was the worst. At the time I was young, so, I did not mind
working on them. The wiring in the new one was unbelievably unreliable. I
could write a book.

I also had an MGC for 2 years in Florida. The water pump went on it. I had
the manual. Instructions for fixing the water pump went something like this
- Step 1: Remove Engine, at the end it said to do things in reverse. I
managed to take it out without taking out the engine, but, tore my hands to
shreds. That 3L AH 6 cylinder engine in that small compartment about made
working on it almost impossible. It was one moving car however. So, yes, my
mileage did vary. - Mike

The British cars are pretty good. It's just that they require a lot more
maintenance than the average US owner is willing to do.
