However, if you are referring only to the physical receivers, the only
differences between the later RU Command receivers (those intended for use with
a GF) are the nameplates, plus some minor component value changes during
production. Otherwise, those marked 14 Volt and those marked 28 Volt are
identical. The Liaison receivers (like the 11, 12, 18 and 19) have a different
front panel connector plus will not work in a GF/RU system without internal
modifications to the receivers.
So as far as actually working, you can mix and match GF-5 through 12 with
RU-7, 8, 9, 10, 13, 14, 15 &16. Likewise the associated control boxes. The
dynamotors, antenna relays and junction boxes differ between the 14 volt and
28 volt versions. And the dynamotors also differ between the Command and
Liaison versions.
